Abstract

The article presents the results of archaeological works at the ancient settlement of Shrakshura III, located on the northwestern coast of the Mukhor Gulf of Maloe More in Lake Baikal. During the research, the object proved to be multilayered (three cultural layers). A representative collection of artifacts and faunal remains has been obtained, especially from the Neolithic complexes. As a result of the typological analysis of pottery and stone implements, and their comparison with the referential multilayered objects (settlements and burials) on the coast of Lake Baikal and radiocarbon definitions, a preliminary dating of the identified complexes was proposed. The materials of the cultural layer zero are associated with the Late Bronze-Iron Age. Complexes I and II of the cultural layers belong to various periods of the Early Neolithic (7400-6900 cal BP).
