Abstract

A number of sites of the Early Iron Age and the Middle Ages have been discovered in the southern part of Krasnoyarsk Krai during the survey works aimed at identifying the sites of the Final Pleistocene and the Early Holocene. A group of burial mounds, individual burial mounds, settlement, and three sites dated to the Early Iron Age, as well as a flat grave dated to the Middle Ages have been found in the valley of the Oi River in Minusinsk District (Lugavskoe and Kazantsevo villages). Two sites of the Early Iron Age have been found in the valley of the Shush River in Sushenskoe District more to the south. The cultural layer of one of these sites was discovered on the territory adjacent to the groups of burial mounds of the Tagar culture (7th-2nd BC).
