Abstract

In the field season of 2018, the Yugan team of the IAET SB RAS carried out archaeological works on the left and right banks of the Kulunigyi, a tributary of the Bolshoy Yugan. In the course of stationary archaeological excavations, depression groups of Kulunigyi-66 and -64 located in the area of economic development were studied. The Kulunigyi-64 group of depressions yielded a burial ground dating to the Eneolithic - early Bronze Age. Exploration works on the right bank of the Kulunigyi produced a group of depressions named as Kulunigyi-72 and a multi-layered settlement site of Kulunigyi-71 dating to the late medieval period and Neolithic-Eneolithic. The subsequent analysis of the collected materials will make it possible to substantially supplement the existing data about the historical and cultural development of the Surgut Ob Region.
