Abstract

Based on the experience of the field ethnographic study ecovillages in the Omsk region, two variants of their classification are proposed. The difference between these variants is due to the criteria underlying them. In the first variant, ideological and religious motives of the new ecovillages formation serve as the criterion. In the second case, the classification is based on the level of association with other settlements, or other forms of human activity. The obtained results are considered as a model or principle of formation of any new settlement. The possibility of applying these results to archaeological and ethnographic studies is discussed.
