Abstract

The article focuses on the analysis of ritual sites from the Baraba forest-steppe. Specific location and inventory served as the basis for classification of the discovered sacred objects into several types. There are funerary ritual complexes associated with both the cults of the dead, possibly related to the cult of the ancestors, and particular features of the burial rites. There are production ritual complexes identified by traces on artifacts and use of fire. These complexes are correlated with bronze casting. The rite of placing wild animals in pits recorded at several Neolithic sites requires detailed consideration. Specific ritual objects correlated with the most important spheres of vital activity for the ancient population and with the main aspects of the worldview has been established for each cultural-chronological period.
